‎A Consistent and Accurate Numerical Method for Approximate Numerical Solution of Two Point Boundary Value Problems

In this article we have proposed an accurate finite difference method for approximate numerical solution of second order boundary value problem with Dirichlet boundary conditions. There are numerous numerical methods for solving these boundary value problems. Some these methods are more efficient and accurate than others with some advantages and disadvantages. The results in experiment on model...

B-SPLINE METHOD FOR TWO-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS

In this work the collocation method based on quartic B-spline is developed and applied to two-point boundary value problem in ordinary diferential equations. The error analysis and convergence of presented method is discussed. The method illustrated by two test examples which verify that the presented method is applicable and considerable accurate.

Solution of Two Point Boundary Value Problems Using Wavelet Integrals

Abstract In this paper, we obtain some special types of integrals of Daubechies Wavelets which are used as Galerkin basis functions for numerical solution of partial differential equations of one dimension. Galerkin bases are constructed by integrating Daubechies functions which are compactly supported and which constitute an orthonormal basis of L2(R). Theoretical and numerical results are obt...

Two-point Taylor expansions and one-dimensional boundary value problems

We consider second-order linear differential equations φ(x)y′′ + f(x)y′ + g(x)y = h(x) in the interval (−1, 1) with Dirichlet, Neumann or mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions. We consider φ(x), f(x), g(x) and h(x) analytic in a Cassini disk with foci at x = ±1 containing the interval (−1, 1). The two-point Taylor expansion of the solution y(x) at the extreme points ±1 is used to give a c...
